PUBLIC INVITED TO SECOND ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

ArtWorks is celebrating its second anniversary with a special public reception on Thursday, May 6, from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m.

Following May’s theme of “TWO”, fifteen artists will be presenting interesting facts about creating their two new works of art. Live music will be offered between the presentations by Ivy Coan on the violin and Doug Bacon on the guitar. Celtic and medieval songs, jigs and reels will add enjoyment to the evening. Free beverages will be available.

ArtWorks is a cooperative gift shop and gallery, where local artists work on a volunteer basis. It is located at 111 North Stephenson Avenue in Iron Mountain adjacent to Rocconi Ace Hardware.

Members would like to express their gratitude to area citizens and media for their recognition of the benefits derived from having an artistic presence in our community. With that in mind, all attendees will be given two gifts as they leave.

The theme of “TWO” will continue throughout the month of May. Regular hours are 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Mon., Wed.-Sat., with Sunday hours of 10:30-2:00 p.m. The public can also see paintings, sculptures, and carvings at ArtWorks new website at artworksup.com.
