"Bird is the Word" at ArtWorks Gallery in Iron Mountain during the month of April. Birds have long been a fascination, a hobby, a patriotic and religious symbol in our human history. Throughout time, birds have been protected by law , hunted to extinction , purchased illegally and worn on hats and ceremonial dress.
ArtWorks invites the public to see how artists in the Dickinson County area present their ideas about our feathered friends. There will be an opening reception on April 8th from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Anything you like from painting to sculpture, photography to fiber art can be found at this show.
Some of the new items featured for this upcoming show include Ivy Coan's collage titled "Guardian Angel", garden journals by Melisse Carr and sculpture by Gail Stanek to name just a few.
ArtWorks is the only artist owned and operated gallery in the area where 16 award winning artists display their creations.
ArtWorks Gallery is open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday, Wednesday-Saturday and from 10:00M to 2:00PM on Sunday.
